CURRENT MODEL YEAR Truck with Hook Hoist

The County of Polk is seeking a proposal for a current model year truck with a hook hoist body for the Recycle Department. The truck must meet specific requirements, including a 25,500 GVW single axle, 6.6 liter or larger diesel engine, and a minimum 300 HP. The proposal must include the cost of the truck, including the roll-off hook body and installation, as well as any additional features or services. The successful vendor will be responsible for delivering the truck to the body builder within one week of arrival and ensuring that all components are properly installed and functional. Some key features and requirements of the truck include: • 25,500 GVW single axle • 6.6 liter or larger diesel engine • Minimum 300 HP • Automatic transmission with PTO provisions • Chassis with maximum rear axle 17,500 lbs. capacity • Frame rails to be clear of obstructions from back of cab to rear wheels • Power steering and air brakes • LED lighting and electrical system • Standard cab with deluxe interior and insulation package • Cruise control and air conditioning • Multi-speed windshield wipers with washer • Tachometer and all gauges with warning lamps and buzzers • Radio AM/FM with Bluetooth hands-free capability The proposal must be submitted in a sealed envelope and marked "Hook truck bid". Vendors are invited to supply additional information on this equipment.
