Rural Home Delivered Meals

The City of Lincoln Aging Department is requesting bids from qualified companies for the Annual Supply of Rural Home Delivered Meals. The contract term will be one year, starting November 28, 2025, with the option to renew for three additional one-year periods. The meals must meet the 1/3rd DRI for older adults as required by the Older Americans Act (OAA) and must meet US Dietary Guidelines as set by USDA/HHS. The vendor must provide a select menu of meals for breakfast, lunch, and dinner of at least 50 choices. Key responsibilities include: • Preparing, packaging, and delivering meals to senior citizens' homes • Maintaining client and program files for a period of no less than 3 years • Working with City staff to resolve order or delivery problems • Providing modified diet menu choices, including diabetic, renal, low sodium, gluten-free, and vegetarian options • Meeting health requirements of the US Food code and providing evidence of a current approved food safety inspection
