Notice of Intent to award sole source - Compact Robotic Prescription Dispensing System - Tsaile Health Center

The Navajo Area Indian Health Service, Tsaile Health Center, intends to award a non-competitive, sole sourced purchase order to ScriptPro USA, Inc., for Compact Robotic Prescription Dispensing System services. The scope of work includes providing a robotic prescription dispensing system to count, fill, and label prescriptions, with direct interface with the RPMS pharmacy computer system and managing workflow on automated dispensing systems. The system must be able to handle at least 225 individual NDC numbers, fill vials directly from the drug dispensing cell, and support most prescription vials used in standard pharmacy practice. The contractor must provide delivery and installation, training for pharmacy staff, 24-hours per day, 7-days per week support via toll-free number and modem, and all customer support, routine maintenance, and software updates and upgrades. Some key features of the system include: • Direct interface with RPMS pharmacy computer system and manages workflow on automated dispensing systems • The robotic system must automatically select a prescription vial of the proper size, fill the vial with the proper drug, print and apply the correct prescription label, apply the correct auxiliary warning labels, and apply the correct line drawings and description of the medication • The robotic system must scan the barcode of the drug cell prior to filling the vial to confirm correct drug product and correct drug strength • The robotic system must complete all labeling after filling the vial • The robotic system must deliver the filled and labeled vials uncapped for final verification • The robotic system must include a digital drug image to assist with final verification • The robotic system must be able to handle at least 225 individual NDC numbers • The robotic system's cells must be able to be fully calibrated on site • The robotic system's drug cells must be able to be fully cleaned on site • The robotic system must fill vials directly from the drug dispensing cell, preventing cross-contamination • The robotic system must support most prescription vials used in standard pharmacy practice • The robotic system must handle at least two vial sizes • The robotic system must handle vials from 13 and 40 dram • The robotic system must be able to store at least 350 vials per vial dispenser • The robotic system must fill up to 350 prescriptions per hour • The robotic system must support a direct interface to VistA in multiple locations • The robotic system must use standard 120V, 60Hz and 15A power • The robotic system must operate at a sound level no greater than 77 db at the edge of the control center The period of performance is from January 01, 2026 to December 11, 2026, with three one-year option periods.
