MCEC BALLROOM CARPET REPLACEMENT (T47)

The Contractor shall provide all labor, equipment, and supervision for the carpet replacement at the MCEC Ballroom. The scope requires the removal and recycling of existing carpets and pads down to the substrate. The Contractor must grind or fill floors to eliminate adhesive residue and ensure a level surface. The Contractor shall install Owner-furnished carpet and adhesives using the direct glue-down method. Responsibilities include furnishing transition strips, primers, and necessary accessories. This contract covers all temporary protection, cleanup, and miscellaneous costs. Any subsequent additional areas requested by the Owner shall be performed under stipulated unit prices. Work is intended to occur during a defined facility closure. Dark Days at MCEC are scheduled for: December 18, 2026 – January 15, 2026. This is considered the period of performance to replace carpet onsite. All overtime and shift-related expenses must be factored into the initial bid price, as no additional compensation claims will be accepted. The Contractor shall utilize night shifts (or overtime) as necessary to meet the strict completion deadline. Operations must accommodate safety regulations, event schedules, site access limits, and emergency egress rules. Required shift work or overtime shall not be grounds for additional compensation claims. The Carpet is Owner-Supplied. The area of Ballroom is approximately 60,200 square feet.
