RFI - Ballistic Resistant Equipment Disposal/Recycle Requirement

The United States Marshals Service (USMS) is conducting market research to identify potential sources for the disposal and recycling of ballistic resistant equipment. The equipment includes soft armor, rifle plates, helmets, shields, ballistic blankets, armor carriers, pouches, patches, and other adjacent components. The purpose of this RFI is to gather information on companies' availability to provide these services, including the signing of official Certificates of Disposal. Respondents should provide information on their company's experience, regulatory requirements, and any tentative costs associated with the disposal and recycling services. • The USMS is looking for companies that can provide disposal and recycling services for ballistic resistant equipment. • The equipment includes a range of items such as soft armor, rifle plates, and helmets. • Respondents should provide information on their company's experience and regulatory requirements. • The USMS may elect to meet with respondents to obtain additional clarifications regarding submissions. • All submissions become property of the Federal Government and will not be returned to any responder.
