The Department of Veterans Affairs is seeking a contractor to provide CAT6a cable pulls at the Kansas City VAMC. The contract will be for a base period of 12 months, with four option periods of 12 months each. The contractor will be responsible for installing approximately 800 CAT6a cables over the five-year period, with 250 cables in the first year and 125 cables in each subsequent year. The cables will be installed in a hospital environment and must meet current industry standards and best practices. The contractor will also be responsible for adhering to infection control protocols and performing fire penetrations and core drilling as necessary. • The contractor will provide monthly progress reports and an annual summary report. • The contractor will ensure that all cables are installed following current industry standards and best practices for hospital environments. • The contractor will adhere to infection control protocols throughout the installation process. • The contractor will perform and manage fire penetrations in accordance with local fire codes and regulations. • The contractor will conduct core drilling as necessary to route cables through walls and floors. • The contractor will install brackets, where required, to protect and manage cables. • The contractor will ensure that all cables are colored and labeled specifically to their application.
