Professional Services for Steel Fabrication – Quality Assurance Inspection Services On‑Call

NDOT seeks qualified consultants (CWI‑certified) to provide on‑call quality‑assurance inspection services for steel bridge‑girder fabrication at fabricators’ plants across the United States. Services include pre‑fabrication QA reviews, post‑weld visual inspections, NDT oversight, shipping release checks, and documentation per AWS, AASHTO, and NDOT standards. The contract is an IDIQ with a maximum ceiling of $250 k over a three‑year base term (extendable six months). Up to two firms may be awarded. • Review welding procedures, welder qualifications, and material test records before fabrication. • Conduct visual inspections, coordinate NDT, and verify camber and tolerance before shipping. • Prepare and submit weekly QA reports, shipping releases, and as‑built documentation to NDOT. • Must maintain AWS CWI certification, provide own inspection equipment, and comply with NDOT insurance and drug‑free policy requirements.
