Chief Joseph Dam 480V Station Service SQ1-3, & DSQ 1-2

The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers will issue a best‑value, trade‑off solicitation to replace aging 480‑volt station‑service equipment at Chief Joseph Dam. The contractor must supply and install new switchgear, switchboards, transformers, feeder and control cables, panelboards, distribution equipment, and associated controls. Additional responsibilities include providing temporary power, coordinating outages, performing testing, commissioning, training, delivering operation & maintenance manuals, spare parts, and record drawings. The project also requires automatic transfer capability for DSQ1 and DSQ2 mains, maintaining existing diesel backup, and ensuring continuous facility operation throughout construction. The contract is firm‑fixed‑price, valued between $5 M and $10 M, with a performance period of approximately 1,000 calendar days after notice to proceed.
