Description
The Department of Veterans Affairs is soliciting sealed bids for the design‑build construction of a major expansion and improvement project at Fort Custer National Cemetery in Michigan. The contract includes the construction of a 3,360‑niche columbarium, development of gravesite sections for 3,712 pre‑placed crypt burials and 6,821 in‑ground cremains interments, replacement of asphalt with concrete in the maintenance yard, renovation of the Administration and PIC/Restroom buildings, construction of a new storage building, provision of swing space, irrigation system upgrades, and installation of a permanent power source for the committal shelter. The work must be completed within 540 calendar days (approximately 18 months) and includes comprehensive safety, security, environmental, and warranty requirements. Bidders must be SAM‑registered and, if applicable, hold VA CVE verification for socioeconomic set‑asides.
