Description

The U.S. Air Force intends to award a single‑source, firm‑fixed‑price contract to VirTra, Inc. for one turnkey VirTra V‑180® HD Immersive Use‑of‑Force and Marksmanship Training System. The system includes a 180‑degree front‑projection simulator, laser‑tracking “TrackCam,” APEX™ analytics software, tetherless recoil conversion kits for M4 rifles and Sig Sauer M18 pistols, and full on‑site installation and operator training at Joint Base Lindsey Graham, SC. This capability is required to support high‑consequence security decision‑making and marksmanship qualifications. Because VirTra is the sole OEM of this integrated solution, the contract is being awarded without competition, though other sources may submit capability statements for consideration. • One (1) VirTra V‑180® HD system (P/N: V‑180‑HD‑TC‑PT) • 180‑degree immersive projection environment with real‑video (non‑CGI) feeds • TrackCam laser‑tracking and tetherless recoil kits for service‑issued weapons • APEX™ analytics for session data capture and reporting • Complete CONUS installation, integration, and operator training • Firm‑fixed‑price purchase order; award anticipated 15 Sep 2026

Budget estimate

$1,000,000 – $3,000,000

The contract is for a single, high‑end training system that typically costs between $1 million and $3 million, including hardware, software, installation, and training services. The estimate accounts for the specialized laser‑tracking and recoil kits, the proprietary analytics suite, and the on‑site integration labor. Larger government training simulators of comparable capability have historically been awarded in this price band, while the single‑source nature and limited quantity keep the upper bound below $5 million.
