155mm Artillery Cannister Assembly

The U.S. Army is conducting a market‑research (sources‑sought) effort to identify manufacturers capable of producing the 155 mm Artillery Cannister Assembly, which consists of a steel payload canister, an aluminum payload cover, and two hardened steel clocking keys. The government seeks sources that can meet escalating production rates: at least 450 units per year by Oct 2027, 1,000 units per year by Mar 2028, and 10,000 units per year by Jan 2031. Respondents must be SAM‑registered and provide detailed capability statements covering manufacturing processes (machining, forging, heat‑treatment, coating, NDT), past artillery‑related experience, production capacity, and willingness to supply either existing or modifiable products.
