Readvertisement: Greenway Pedestrian Structures

The City of Raleigh is seeking bids for the construction of the Greenway Pedestrian Structures 6, 7, 17, 102 & 103 Repairs & Replacements project. The project involves replacing existing timber decking with Fiber-Reinforced Polymer (FRP) decking, replacing existing timber structures with fiberglass structures, and other related work. Bidders must be licensed to perform the work in North Carolina and must provide bid security in the amount of 5% of the bid. • The project consists of four major items: Base Bid, Alternate 1, Alternate 2, and Alternate 3. • The Base Bid involves replacing existing timber decking with FRP decking for Structures #102 and #103. • Alternate 1 involves replacing existing timber structures with fiberglass structures for Structures #6 and #7. • Alternate 2 involves replacing the existing timber structure with Timber Glu-lams and timber decking for Structure #17. • Alternate 3 involves replacing the existing timber structure with steel framing and FRP decking for Structure #17.
