Highway Lighting - District 6

The Kansas Department of Transportation (KDOT) is soliciting bids for comprehensive highway lighting maintenance in District 6. The contract covers a range of tasks organized into six groups, including: • Resetting and replacing up to 50‑ft light poles (Group 1) – 100 poles. • Relamping standard poles (Group 2) – 1,000 poles. • Relamping tower‑type fixtures (≥80 ft) (Group 3) – 50 towers. • Installing concrete/screw‑in footings for poles (Group 4) – 30 footings, with special approvals for certain counties. • Miscellaneous electrical work on a time‑and‑materials basis (Group 5) – e.g., bulb replacement, wiring, mercury‑bulb disposal. • Trenching and cable replacement for lighting infrastructure (Group 6) – 6,000 ft common soil, 700 ft rock. Bidders must submit a turnkey cost for each task, itemizing labor and equipment rates, and provide mileage and equipment charges. A revised cost sheet with estimated quantities is attached and must be used. The contract will be awarded to the responsive and responsible bidder meeting the technical and pricing requirements.
