Pierce County is seeking a vendor to provide merchant card processing services for various County departments and offices. The selected vendor will support the County's goal of providing convenient payment options to the public, including in-person, online, and other electronic payment channels. The scope of work includes payment processing services, security and compliance, equipment and technology, settlement and reporting, and customer support. The vendor must provide comprehensive merchant card processing services, including processing of credit and debit card transactions, support for card-present and card-not-present transactions, and ability to process payments via point-of-sale, web-based portals, and mobile devices. Key requirements include: • Registered to do business in Washington State • Has a valid federal tax identification number • Comply with all relevant industry standards, including PCI DSS • Provide end-to-end encryption and tokenization • Provide fraud detection and prevention tools • Provide secure handling and storage of payment data The initial contract period is anticipated to be for four years, with the option of renewing for an additional four years. The value of the resulting contract is estimated to be $6,000,000.00.
