RFP for Consulting Services to Develop a Comprehensive Parks, Recreation, Pathways, and Open space Master Plan

The City of Caldwell is seeking a consulting firm to develop a comprehensive parks, recreation, pathways, and open space master plan. The plan should provide a 20-year vision and roadmap for parks, recreation, pathways, and open space, and include research, public engagement, and recommendations for the City. The scope of work includes public engagement and outreach, recreational programming gaps/needs analysis, land acquisition strategy, and preparation of a useful and readable planning document with a GIS map. The City is looking for a firm with experience in parks, pathways, and recreation master planning, and a well-thought-out community and stakeholder engagement plan. Some key aspects of the project include: • Developing a robust public engagement and outreach plan to reach all residents • Conducting a statistically valid survey to gauge public opinions on parks, pathways, open spaces, and recreational opportunities • Preparing a gaps and needs analysis for parks, pathways, recreational programming, open space, and facilities • Developing a strategy for protecting open space, retaining tree canopy, and preserving natural beauty • Creating a GIS map layer that can integrate into the City's existing GIS The City is an equal opportunity employer and is exempt from federal and state taxes.
