Description

The United States Army Corps of Engineers is seeking a contractor to analyze up to forty water samples to generate datasets on iron stable isotopes. The contractor will receive the samples from the Cold Regions Research and Engineering Laboratory (CRREL) and must perform iron stable isotope analysis via plasma sourced multi-collector mass spectrometry. The contractor must also provide raw and processed data, instrument parameters, and methods for sample preparation and analysis. The evaluation factors for this solicitation include technical capability and price. • The contractor must be able to analyze water samples that contain colloidal organic matter for iron isotope ratios using multi-collector inductively coupled plasma mass spectrometry. • The contractor must indicate in its quote that it can perform all analyses by 1 March 2027. • The contractor must provide a firm-fixed-price for the completion of all requirements described in the RFQ. • The contractor must be registered in the System for Award Management (SAM) and have no active exclusions.

Budget estimate

$100,000 – $500,000

The budget for this opportunity is likely to be in the range of $100,000 to $500,000. This estimate is based on the fact that the contractor will be analyzing up to forty water samples, and the cost of such analysis can vary widely depending on the complexity of the analysis and the equipment required. Additionally, the contractor will need to provide raw and processed data, instrument parameters, and methods for sample preparation and analysis, which may also impact the overall cost. The evaluation factors for this solicitation include technical capability and price, which suggests that the government is looking for a contractor that can provide high-quality analysis at a reasonable price.
