Term Contract for Sales Tax Auditing Services

The City and Borough of Juneau is seeking a consultant to provide professional sales tax auditing services. The objective is to ensure accurate reporting and remittance of local sales taxes by registered merchants, enhance compliance, and identify potential underreporting or noncompliance. The selected firm will perform audits, review sales records, and provide written audit reports detailing findings, discrepancies, and recommended actions. The contract will be for an initial term of one year, with the option for three annual renewals. • The consultant will be required to provide a comprehensive narrative describing their proposed project team's specialized experience, capabilities, and unique qualifications for the performance of the work. • The consultant will be required to provide a management plan, including an organizational chart, individual responsible for decision-making, and a definition of their accountability system. • The consultant will be required to provide a price proposal, including total compensation, cost details per task, and a separate line-item estimate for travel. • The consultant will be evaluated based on their understanding and methodology, management plan, experience and qualifications, and price proposal.
