Request for Statement of Qualifications for Risk Consulting Services

The County of Los Angeles is seeking to create a prequalified list of proposers/vendors who are experienced in successfully providing risk consulting services. These services help the County identify, analyze, and mitigate threats, such as operational, financial, and technological risks as well as provide strategic guidance and help the County improve compliance. The scope of work includes various categories of services, such as actuarial service, audit and compliance, data analytics, evaluation, feasibility study, information systems, loss control and prevention, loss portfolio transfer, risk management training, subrogation recovery, and workers’ compensation. • Actuarial modeling and financial impact analysis for risk financing and insurance/reserve program • Conducting systematic reviews of internal controls, operational practices, and risk mitigation processes • Data analytics, predictive analytics, and business intelligence services supporting risk-related decision-making • Review and evaluate County departments risk management program and make recommendations • Feasibility study utilized to examine multiple aspects of securing and maintaining insurance for various risk management exposures • Risk management information systems and related application development • Occupational safety and risk analysis, industrial hygiene, indoor air quality, ergonomics, and defensive driver/safety programs • LPTs to facilitate assessment, analysis, and selection of an appropriate insurance product(s) to execute a series of LPTs • Design and delivery of risk control, claims management, and safety-related seminars and training sessions • Subrogation recovery services, processes and actions that might help self-insured entities and employers recover money they have paid on claims • Claims administration, medical management, fraud detection, return-to-work programming
