Description

The City of Lincoln Transportation and Utilities Department - Water is requesting bids from qualified companies to provide the Annual Supply of Submersible Pressure Transmitter. The transmitter should have a calibrated span of 0-30 psi with a cable length of 100 feet, and output a linear, 4-20 ma DC current. The contract will be for a one-year term with the option for three additional one-year terms. The city does not guarantee any dollar amount or order quantities for the term of the contract. • The transmitter should be constructed with a cable length of 100 feet vented polycable with pigtails. • The transmitter should be of a probe style construction for use in a submerged potable water, level measuring application. • The transmitter should contain the sensing element and other components necessary to output a 4-20 ma signal proportional to the specified calibrated span of 0-30 psi. • The pressure transmitting probe will have a cable that is used for electrical termination and shall contain a maintenance-free vent filter and tube protection. • The body of the transmitter shall be constructed of stainless steel. • The pressure port cavity should be protected with a 7/8-14 male PVC nose cap or a stainless-steel screen, to protect the pressure sensing element from foreign objects. • The probe and the cable assembly must provide a waterproof seal protecting the probe's internal components. • The probe shall include internal EMI/RFI filtering and provide industry standard lightning protection. • Static accuracy shall be +/- 0.5% or better. • Cable shall have maintenance-free vent filter and tube. • Cable shall be suitable for standard process instrumentation wiring termination practices. • Probes will be calibrated traceable to NIST standards prior to shipment and shall include a calibration certificate for each unit. • Surge protection. • Accuracy of 0.25% FSO linearity.

Budget estimate

$10,000 – $50,000

The budget for this opportunity is likely to be moderate, given the specific requirements for the submersible pressure transmitters and the fact that the city is looking for a supplier for a one-year contract with options for renewal. The total budget will depend on the number of units supplied and the unit price, but a rough estimate could be in the range of $10,000 to $50,000 per year, considering the quantity of 10 units requested and an estimated unit price of $1,000 to $5,000.
