The School District of Pickens County is seeking a licensed South Carolina auctioneer to provide comprehensive surplus‑property auction services on an indefinite‑quantity, non‑exclusive basis. The contractor will be responsible for advertising, staffing, conducting auctions (on‑site or online), handling payments, reporting, and remitting net proceeds to the District, all while complying with state licensing and tax requirements. This is a Best‑Value procurement where the District will evaluate bids based on the commission percentage offered and the bidder’s qualifications. • Conduct public surplus‑property auctions, providing all necessary personnel, equipment, signage, and logistics at no extra cost to the District. • Advertise each auction in designated local publications ≥ 21 days prior and post notices on the SC Business Opportunities portal. • Maintain bidder registration lists, collect payments, remit the District’s share of net proceeds within 10 business days, and submit detailed post‑auction reports. • Must hold a valid SC auctioneer license, demonstrate relevant experience, and provide at least three references. • Contract is indefinite‑quantity with an initial one‑year term beginning approx.
