General Counsel - Syracuse Housing Strategies Corporation

The Syracuse Housing Strategies Corporation (SHSC) is seeking a qualified law firm to provide general counsel services. The selected firm will represent SHSC on matters related to corporate policies, public authorities law, and freedom of information law. The scope of work includes preparing corporate policies and resolutions, attending monthly board meetings, and advising on compliance with relevant laws. The contract will be for a period of one year, with two optional one-year renewals. • The law firm will provide general counsel services to SHSC. • The firm will prepare corporate policies and resolutions for monthly meetings and represent SHSC at those meetings. • The firm will advise on compliance with public authorities law and freedom of information law. • The firm will represent SHSC in matters related to general operations and programming. • The firm will review and consult on development of program policies, procedures, and documentation.
