Description
The Quitman County Board of Commissioners is seeking qualified contractors to resurface, widen, and patch a network of county roads identified under the 2025 LRA, 2026 LRA, 2025 LMIG, and 2026 LMIG programs. The work includes demolition of existing surface, placement of aggregate base, binder, and wearing surface, as well as traffic control, erosion control, striping, and utility protection. The contract is a fixed‑price, 90‑day performance agreement with mandatory bid and performance bonds and insurance. Bids must be submitted sealed by October 15, 2026; questions are due by October 6, 2026. The project covers multiple roadways such as Plantation Road, Scenic Drive, Upper Morris Road, and numerous local streets, with optional alternates for additional repairs.
• Scope: widening and resurfacing of primary county roads; shoulder clipping, patching, and surface treatment on secondary streets.
• Contract length: 90 calendar days from Notice to Proceed.
• Required bonds: 5 % bid bond; 100 % performance and payment bonds.
• Insurance: liability, workers’ compensation, and additional insured status.
• Submission: sealed bids by 11:00 AM ET, Oct 15, 2026; bid opening at 10:00 AM ET same day.
