68--Notice of Intent to Sole Source Award for Supplies/Services at SWRO Mescalero A

The United States Department of the Interior (DOI), Bureau of Indian Affairs (BIA), Southwest Regional Office (SWRO), Mescalero Agency, intends to enter into a Sole Source Firm-Fixed Price contract with the Mescalero Gas Company for the delivery of 15,000 gallons of propane to three locations. The contract is for the provision of propane to ensure uninterrupted service and functionality at these facilities: the BIA Law Enforcement building, the BIA Mescalero Agency building, and the OJS Mescalero Adult Detention Center. • The contract will be awarded under the authority of FAR 6.103-1, which allows for sole source contracts when only one responsible source can satisfy agency requirements. • The Mescalero Apache Tribe has passed a resolution establishing Mescalero Gas Company as the exclusive provider of propane on the Mescalero Apache Indian Reservation. • The contract is expected to be awarded to Mescalero Gas Company, but other firms can submit a capability statement and pricing information by 17 June 2026, 12:00 Pacific Time, if they believe they can provide the required services.
