Boiler Plant Safety Testing

The Department of Veterans Affairs is seeking information from vendors who can provide boiler plant safety device testing services. The testing includes steam safety valves, boiler-related safety devices, and interlocks for three high-pressure steam boilers and associated condensate and make-up water systems. The services will be performed at the White City VA Rehabilitation Center and Clinics in Oregon. The contractor must provide a test report after completing the testing, and the report must verify that all testing was conducted in accordance with the VA Boiler Plant Safety Device Testing Manual. Some key points to consider: • The contractor must have experience testing boiler plant safety devices and interlocks. • The contractor must have knowledge of VA standards for boiler and boiler plant testing and inspection. • The contractor must provide a qualified boiler operator licensed boiler service technician employed by a licensed and bonded boiler/burner service company. • The contractor must have at least 5 years of experience and have tested at 5 separate VA facilities over 3 years.
