Psychological Counseling Services

The City of Huntington Beach Fire Department seeks a licensed mental‑health professional or consulting firm to deliver comprehensive psychological counseling and peer‑support services to its sworn and non‑sworn personnel (and eligible family members). The contractor will provide short‑term individual counseling, critical‑incident stress debriefings, training for managers and peer supporters, orientation sessions, psychological testing for job applicants, and ongoing record‑keeping while maintaining strict confidentiality. • Individual and group counseling for addiction, depression, suicide risk, and other behavioral‑health issues. • Development and delivery of peer‑support and resilience‑building training modules. • Critical‑incident stress management and psychological screening for fire‑department applicants. • Requirement to hold appropriate professional licenses, $1 M insurance limits, and a Huntington Beach business license. • 3‑year contract with monthly invoicing; pricing to be proposed by the vendor.
