Moving Services

The Newark Board of Education is seeking a contractor to provide moving services for a two-year period with an option to renew for an additional two years. The contractor will be responsible for packing, moving, unpacking, and possibly rigging on occasions, on an on-call basis for the Newark Board of Education. The contractor must have the resources to adequately support any large or small moving services as requested by the Newark Board of Education. • The contractor will provide all supervision, labor, and materials necessary to properly identify, classify, package, and transport furniture, equipment, books, and instructional supplies and materials located at District facilities. • The contractor will protect the premises at all Newark Board of Education locations, including floors, walls, and any other areas as required. • The contractor will pack and crate as necessary, remove, and transport to locations as dictated by the District from storage sites or District facilities to designated locations. • The contractor will keep all work areas interior and exterior thoroughly clean and free from debris. • The contractor will be one hundred percent responsible for the repair or replacement of any merchandise or property damaged.
