Description
The U.S. Forest Service is seeking proposals for a multiple-award, indefinite-delivery/indefinite-quantity (IDIQ) contract for National Mobile Food Service Unit (MFSU) support. The contract will provide MFSU services for fire suppression activities, all-hazard incidents, and severity/preparedness assignments at various field locations throughout the western United States. The contractor will be required to provide all necessary resources, including equipment, supervision, labor, materials, and supplies, to accommodate the Government's needs. The contract will have a base period of approximately 5 years, with the option to extend for an additional 6 months.
Key aspects of the contract include:
• Providing appetizing, nutritional, well-balanced hot/cold meals, shift provisions, hot/cold can meals, and supplemental items for incident personnel
• Operating in adversely impacted urban areas to remote primitive locations with limited access
• Meeting minimum mobile food unit equipment requirements and minimum mobile food meal requirements
• Complying with performance standards and deductions
• Participating in a pre-bid/pre-proposal conference and submitting questions and proposals in accordance with the solicitation provisions
The evaluation criteria for the proposal include offer acceptability, price, and past performance. The Government will evaluate the total evaluated price by multiplying the proposed rates for sub-items by the total estimated quantities for each year and adding 50 percent of the last year for the additional 6 months.
