Description

Lynwood Unified School District is seeking a best‑value solution for two distinct but related components: (A) an enterprise‑grade Endpoint Detection & Response/Extended Detection & Response (EDR/XDR) platform that secures ~17,500 endpoints (Chromebooks, Windows, macOS), integrates with Google Workspace, Active Directory, and provides BYOD visibility, managed detection, and automated containment; and (B) a comprehensive data backup and recovery solution that encrypts daily backups, meets RPO/RTO < 2 hours, supports hybrid on‑premise/Nutanix‑Hyper‑V workloads and replicates to an air‑gapped Google Cloud location, while satisfying FERPA and HIPAA requirements. The district requires tiered pricing by device type, compliance with FCC Cybersecurity Pilot eligibility, USAC SPIN, FCC Green‑Light, NIST 800‑171/CMMC‑1, and a $69 k minimum bid bond. The contract will be implemented by June 30 2026, with an optional three‑year renewal for the endpoint component.

Budget estimate

$1,000,000 – $3,000,000

No contract ceiling is disclosed, but the scope (17,500 endpoints, 50 TB backup repository, 3‑year term for Component A, federal FCC funding, and required professional services) suggests a mid‑range public‑sector contract. Comparable K‑12 district EDR/XDR implementations run $1‑2 M annually, while enterprise backup services for similar data volumes add $0.3‑0.5 M per year. Assuming a three‑year term for the endpoint component and a one‑year implementation/transition for backup, the total award could reasonably fall between $1 M and $3 M.
