The U.S. Embassy in Bogotá, Colombia is seeking a contractor to provide comprehensive professional engineering services for the design of structural reinforcement for a retaining wall at the CMR perimeter. The project requires a technically robust and long-term remediation solution that restores the wall's structural stability, meets international seismic design standards, and ensures the continued security and protection of the compound. The contractor will be responsible for conducting a comprehensive technical evaluation, stability analysis, and final design for the stabilization solution. The project entails rigorous geotechnical and structural intervention, starting from subsurface investigation and ending with the delivery of an Issued-for-Construction (IFC) design package. Some key aspects of the project include: • Site investigation and reconnaissance • Geotechnical and structural assessment • Concept engineering design and solutions • Detailed engineering design with specialties • Documentation, specification, and scheduling • Agency review and support The contractor will be required to submit monthly progress reports and provide designs that are cost-effective and provide maximum flexibility for future uses. The government will exercise particular care in consideration of these requirements in the design review and approval process.
