The Alabama Department of Mental Health is soliciting bids for the lease of vehicles for various regions of the department. The lease period will be for 36 months, with the possibility of renewal for an additional 24 months. The vehicles must be new, and the contractor will be responsible for maintenance and repairs. The department will reimburse the contractor for necessary repairs over and above the manufacturer's warranty. The contractor must provide vehicle licenses and tags, and pay all costs associated with vehicle licenses, tags, and registration. The bid must include the vehicle specifications, pricing, and any other required information. * The vehicles must be midsize, four-door sedans with factory-installed air conditioning and heating, power steering, and power brakes with 4-wheel ABS. * The vehicles must have a minimum 1.5-liter engine, electric window defogger, and dual air bags. * The vehicles must have a color-coded front and rear carpeted floor mat, power windows, and remote keyless entry. * The vehicles must have a minimum of 110.5" wheelbase, and the color must be selected at the time of order. * The vehicles must have standard radial tires with a compact spare tire and tools, and a standard alternator and 525 CCA battery. * The vehicles must have standard factory wheels, and the transmission must be automatic. * The vehicles must have AM/FM radio, USB ports, and intermittent wipers. * The vehicles must have tinted glass on all windows and windshield, and a standard factory interior. The bid must also include the van specifications, which must be an alternative fuel, seven-passenger minivan with a minimum 3.3L V6 engine, automatic transmission, and 7 or 8 passenger seating. The van must have air conditioning, front and rear, tinted glass on all windows and windshield, and a heavy-duty radiator and transmission oil cooling system. The van must also have AM/FM radio, ports for charging cell phones/GPS units, power steering, and power brakes with 4-wheel ABS. The van must have fabric seats, power door locks and windows, and a running board with a minimum 7.5" width. The van must also have four radial tires, a 119" wheelbase, and a tilt and cruise control. The bid must be submitted in triplicate, with one original and two copies, and must be signed and notarized. The bid must also include any required addendums and documentation.
