Description
Ocean County, New Jersey is seeking qualified vendors to provide comprehensive online auction services for vehicles, construction equipment, tools, and other miscellaneous property over a two‑year contract. The vendor must inventory and catalog items, host and manage the online auction platform, handle buyer registration, conduct the auction, process payments, arrange pickup of sold items, and provide detailed post‑auction reporting. The County will supply item lists and will meet with the vendor to schedule auction dates, estimating roughly four auctions per year. Compensation is based on a percentage (Seller’s Premium) of gross sales; the vendor may also set a Buyer’s Premium. No additional fees are paid by the County, and the vendor must guarantee payment to the County if a buyer defaults. Advertising and marketing of each auction are the vendor’s responsibility, though the County will approve all materials and place a legal notice in a local newspaper. The contract requires compliance with New Jersey statutes, insurance minimums, and ethical standards of the National Auctioneers Association.
