FOD Sweeper

The South Dakota Air National Guard is seeking a FOD Sweeper that meets specific requirements, including the ability to remove FOD from airfield/runway surfaces, operate on various surfaces and in different weather conditions, and have a minimum sweeping width of 11 feet. The sweeper should also have three smaller self-propelled ground-driven sweepers, powerful magnetic bars, and removable debris hoppers. The contract will be a firm-fixed price order, and the selected offeror must comply with various Federal Acquisition Regulation provisions and clauses. Key features of the FOD Sweeper include: • Minimum sweeping width of 11 feet • Ability to operate on various airfield/runway surfaces, including asphalt and concrete • Ability to remove FOD, including small debris such as rocks and maintenance debris • Powerful magnetic bars to pick up ferrous metals • Removable debris hoppers with a capacity of up to 300 lbs. of debris • Brush life rated for 5000+ sweeping miles • Ability to adjust sweeping height • Ability to operate at a speed of 15 mph
