Mathematical Foundations of Artificial Intelligence (MFAI)

The National Science Foundation is seeking research collaborations focused on the mathematical and theoretical foundations of Artificial Intelligence (AI). The goal is to establish innovative and principled design and analysis approaches for AI technology using creative yet theoretically grounded mathematical and statistical frameworks. The research should aim to understand the capabilities, limitations, and emerging properties of AI methods, as well as develop novel design and analysis principles for current and next-generation AI systems.
