F108--Amendment to Cancel Solicitation

The Department of Veterans Affairs is seeking a qualified contractor to provide radiological decommissioning services for approximately 20 rooms in Buildings 17, 18, 70, and 79 at the VA Bedford Health Care System in Bedford, Massachusetts. The contractor will be responsible for reviewing historical site assessments, analyzing room/area physical data, providing raw lab results, and removing radioactive waste. The contractor must have experience with decommissioning hospital or university radioactive use areas and must provide a capabilities statement, quality control plan, and past performance references. The contract will be awarded based on a comparative evaluation of quotes, considering factors such as technical or quality, past performance, and price. • The contractor must have experience with radiological decommissioning and must be licensed by the Nuclear Regulatory Commission or the Commonwealth of Massachusetts. • The contractor must provide all instrumentation for survey and measurements and must have a quality control plan in place. • The contractor must remove radioactive waste and provide a final status survey report. • The contractor must comply with all applicable codes, standards, and regulatory requirements. • The contractor must provide a detailed schedule of all project activities and must update the schedule monthly.
