INTENT TO SOLE SOURCE - EVALUATION AND REPAIR OF ULTRASONIC INSPECTION EQUIPMENT

The Puget Sound Naval Shipyard and Intermediate Maintenance Facility (PSNS & IMF) is seeking a contractor to provide evaluation and repair services for ultrasonic inspection equipment used for non-destructive testing on US Navy Ships. The equipment consists of Evident Epoch 650, Evident OmniScan X3, and Evident PAUT weld probe. The contractor shall provide all personnel, equipment, supplies, facilities, transportation, tools, materials, supervision, and other items and non-personal services necessary to perform the evaluation and repair services. The period of performance is expected to be for 1 year. Key points to consider: • The contractor shall provide evaluation and repair services for the equipment. • The contractor shall ensure that all work is performed in accordance with the standards specified in the contract. • The contractor shall provide a report stating the results of the evaluation for each instrument before any repairs are performed. • The contractor shall not perform any repairs on equipment until authorized by the Contracting Officer. • The contractor shall ensure that calibration services are performed on ultrasonic equipment upon completion of repairs.
