SOURCES SOUGHT FOR ENVIRO USP FOAM CONCENTRATE; NAVFAC HAWAII, JOINT BASE PEARL HARBOR-HICKAM, HAWAII

The Naval Facilities Engineering Command, Hawaii is conducting market research to determine if other potential products or sources can provide a low expansion synthetic fluorine-free foam concentrate that meets the same requirements and specifications as Enviro USP, manufactured by Dafo Fomtec AB. The alternate product or source must meet the following requirements: FM approved for use with the Viking Grate Nozzle, comply with MIL-PRF-32725, and be listed in the Defense Logistics Agency Qualified Product List QPL-32725. The foam concentrate should be designed to be proportioned at 3% with fresh water for use in low-level fire protection systems in aircraft hangars. Interested parties with a comparable product meeting these requirements are invited to submit complete technical data, information, and specifications. • The product must be FM approved for use with the Viking Grate Nozzle. • The product must comply with MIL-PRF-32725 and be listed in the Defense Logistics Agency Qualified Product List QPL-32725. • The product must be a low expansion synthetic fluorine-free foam concentrate designed to be proportioned at 3% with fresh water for use in low-level fire protection systems in aircraft hangars. • The product must not contain fluorinated surfactants and polymers (PFAS).
