The City of Charlotte’s Transportation Department is planning an Intelligent Transportation Systems (ITS) project that includes installing single‑mode fiber optic cable, Ethernet equipment for traffic signal communications, traffic management cameras, metal poles, and associated splicing and testing. The scope covers Nevin Road between Gibbon Road and Mallard Creek Road and W Sugar Creek Road between Nevin Road and N Graham Street. The contract term is anticipated to be 200 days with a total project value between $500,000 and $999,999. • Install new fiber optic conduit (directionally bored, hand‑dug, or trenched) and splice/test the cable. • Provide and install Ethernet equipment, traffic cameras, and metal poles for traffic signal communication. • Perform all required insurance coverage (Automobile, General Liability $1M, Workers Compensation $500K).
