Intent to Sole Source FormFactor

The Montana State University Procurement & Contract Services is considering a request from Spectrum Lab to award a Sole Source contract to FormFactor for a 300mm automated PIC wafer testing station with thermal control. This station should have 2 hexapod optical probe arms and 2 motorized RF/DC probe arms for the measurement of photonic integrated circuits, meeting specific temperature control and software integration requirements. Interested vendors who believe they can provide an equivalent product or service are invited to submit a detailed description of their product or service. • The required product should have a thermal chuck and platen with temperature control from -60°C to 300°C. • The product should have automated software for integration with Keysight test equipment. • The product should be compatible with tunable light sources from Keysight and other vendors. • The product should have automated software for the alignment of optical fibers and making insertion loss measurements. • The product should be shipped on or before June 30th to fulfill the grant mission.
