Install Rectangular Rapid Flashing Beacons (RRFB) at 14 High-Pedestrian -Volume Uncontrolled Crosswalk Locations

The City of Anaheim is seeking a qualified contractor to design, furnish, and install pedestrian safety improvements at 14 high‑traffic, uncontrolled crosswalks near schools, parks, and trails. The work includes constructing curb ramps, sidewalks, curb and gutter, installing solar‑powered rectangular rapid flashing beacons (RRFBs), solar‑powered crosswalk lighting, ADA‑compliant audible push‑button devices, conduit and wiring, high‑visibility crosswalk markings, yield markings, signage, and removal of existing sidewalk, curb ramps, striping and signage where required. The contractor must obtain all necessary city permits, coordinate with multiple utility agencies, and comply with the City’s Community Workforce Agreement and DIR registration requirements. The project is part of the “Anaheim Pedestrian Crosswalk Safety Improvement Project (ATP Cycle 6).” • Install solar‑powered RRFBs and crosswalk lighting at 14 locations. • Construct new curb ramps, sidewalks, and curb‑and‑gutter structures. • Provide ADA‑compliant audible push‑button devices and high‑visibility markings. • Perform utility coordination (AT&T, SoCal Gas, Verizon, etc.). • Obtain all required permits and adhere to City, state, and federal regulations. • Submit bid package with required bonds, insurance, CWA Letter of Assent, and schedule.
