King County Library System is seeking a qualified engineering firm to design a backup power system for its North Bend Library. The scope includes site assessment, feasibility analysis, complete electrical engineering design (including integration of solar panels, battery storage, and generator), procurement support, and construction‑phase consulting and commissioning oversight. The firm must provide a Statement of Qualifications (≤ 20 pages) and demonstrate relevant experience, key personnel credentials, and a clear project approach. • Design of a 36‑hour backup power solution (solar, battery, generator) for a 9,774 sf library building. • Deliver full engineering documents, coordinate with HVAC, security, and telecom systems, and assist with bid administration and construction oversight. • Must have a Washington‑state licensed Professional Engineer on staff and be capable of immediate availability through design and construction phases.
