Sole Source OEM "American Bureau of Shipping" - ABS Welding, Inspection & NDE Training Course

The Fleet Logistics Center Puget Sound (FLCPS) is soliciting a sole source OEM "American Bureau of Shipping" requirement for the procurement of an "ABS Welding, Inspection & NDE Training Course". The course aims to develop competency in welding, metallurgy, inspections, and non-destructive evaluation (NDE) for SRF-JRMC Detachment Singapore employees. The contractor shall provide instructor-based training, including a comprehensive participant training guide, and issue a Certificate of Completion to participants who meet the course requirements. The training session will be delivered to a maximum audience of 20 students over 5 consecutive days. • The course content includes modules on basics of welding & metallurgy, steel production and mechanical properties, residual stresses & distortion, weld joint geometry, terminology, sequence & processes, ABS rules for WPS & PQR, filler metals, stainless and aluminum materials, visual inspection of welding, non-destructive evaluation, and ship fabrication hull construction. • The contractor shall provide experienced instructors with deep technical knowledge and recent hands-on experience in the fields of welding, metallurgy, inspection, and NDE. • The training will be held at the SRF-JRMC Detachment Singapore facility located at Changi Naval Base, Singapore.
