Ancillary Studies to Ongoing Clinical Projects (RP1 Clinical Trial Not Allowed)

The National Institute of Arthritis and Musculoskeletal and Skin Diseases (NIAMS) intends to publish a Notice of Funding Opportunity (NOFO) to solicit applications for research on ancillary studies that leverage resources from ongoing parent clinical studies. The ancillary studies should meet the NIAMS mission. • The parent studies can be outside the NIAMS mission. • The ancillary studies should utilize well-characterized patient cohort(s), infrastructure, data, and biological samples from the parent studies. • Collaborative investigations combining expertise in leveraging clinical research are encouraged. • Applicants with expertise and insights into diseases and conditions within the NIAMS mission are encouraged to apply.
