FY2026 Sodium Chloride Road Salt

The Ada County Highway District is seeking bids for the supply of Sodium Chloride Road Salt. The successful bidder will be required to provide 100% Supply Bond and execute an Agreement with ACHD within 15 days after award. The estimated usage for Sodium Chloride Road Salt is 4,100 tons per year, but ACHD makes no warranty that they will purchase any, all, or more of the estimated quantities. The bidder must be capable of delivering the Sodium Chloride Road Salt within 15 calendar days of receiving each individual order. • The Sodium Chloride Road Salt must meet the specifications of the American Society for Testing and Materials ASTM D632-12 and match the specifications set forth by the Pacific Northwest Snow Fighters (PNS) Category 8B. • The Sodium Chloride Road Salt shall be obtained from natural deposits or produced by man for use as a de-icer for maintenance purposes. • The bidder must provide a Safety Data Sheet of the product being proposed in the bid schedule. • The bidder must note on their product data sheet if the sample does contain an anti-caking agent or not.
