SC 9 (West Meeting Street) Corridor Study

The Catawba Regional Council of Governments is seeking a qualified consultant to perform a comprehensive corridor study of SC 9 (West Meeting Street) between Paladin Road and Main Street in the City of Lancaster. The study will assess current transportation conditions, forecast future mobility needs, and produce actionable recommendations to enhance safety, operations, accessibility, community connectivity, and economic development. • Evaluate existing traffic, pedestrian, and bicycle infrastructure along the corridor. • Identify current deficiencies and future demand scenarios. • Develop practical, implementable recommendations covering safety improvements, operational efficiency, accessibility upgrades, and economic development opportunities. • Deliver a final report with visualizations, data analyses, and phased implementation plans. • Provide stakeholder engagement and coordination with local agencies as part of the study process.
