Sarpy County Grant Writer

Sarpy County, Nebraska is seeking a qualified consulting firm to serve as a grant writer and to help develop a centralized countywide grant program. The consultant will inventory existing grants, create standardized processes, research new funding opportunities, write competitive applications, and provide ongoing reporting and support. The work is limited to grant research, writing, and program‑development activities; post‑award management is excluded. The contract is a one‑year base term with two optional one‑year renewals, and the consultant must attend at least monthly virtual coordination meetings and occasional in‑person board presentations. • Develop countywide grant policies, templates, intake procedures, and a grant calendar. • Conduct ongoing research of federal, state, regional, local, and private funding sources. • Prepare and submit grant applications, including narratives, budgets, and supporting documentation. • Provide monthly status reports and an annual summary report to the County Board. • Support the County’s strategic plans and capital improvement documents with aligned funding opportunities. • Attend virtual meetings with the County Administrator’s office and limited in‑person board briefings.
