Proposition 4 – Water Recycling

The purpose of the funding is to provide technical and financial assistance to local agencies for the construction of water recycling projects that promote the beneficial use of treated municipal wastewater in order to augment fresh water supplies in California. Eligible applicants include local public agencies, 501(c)(3) nonprofit organizations, public utilities, and Native American tribes. Eligible projects include recycled water treatment, storage, distribution, and pumping, as well as groundwater recharge and indirect potable reuse. • Eligible applicants: local public agencies, 501(c)(3) nonprofit organizations, public utilities, and Native American tribes • Eligible projects: recycled water treatment, storage, distribution, and pumping, as well as groundwater recharge and indirect potable reuse • Ineligible uses: operation and maintenance costs • Eligible costs: construction grant funding for construction costs only, and planning, design, and construction for large-scale recycled water projects
