Walk-in Coolers/Freezers

Midland Independent School District (MISD) is seeking a qualified vendor to provide a turnkey solution for the removal, delivery, and installation of walk‑in coolers and freezers at multiple district schools. The contract is firm‑fixed‑price and will be awarded to the lowest‑cost responsive offer. Scope includes demolition of existing units, disposal, delivery of new equipment, full installation (including electrical, plumbing, ventilation, and pad work), start‑up, verification, and provision of all manuals, warranties, and documentation. Two mandatory site‑visit dates (Sept 29 & 30, 2026) are required for field verification. Proposals must be submitted electronically via IonWave by Oct 13 2026. The project must be completed no later than January 2027. • Turnkey removal of existing walk‑in coolers/freezers and proper disposal. • Delivery and installation of new refrigerated walk‑in units (various sizes for Burnet, Bowie, Pease, De Zavala, Sam Houston). • All electrical, plumbing, ventilation, and pad work performed during normal business hours unless otherwise approved. • Certified refrigeration specialist required; installation must meet manufacturer specs and local codes. • Vendor must provide documentation packages (manuals, warranties, model/serial numbers). • Mandatory site‑visit attendance; failure to attend disqualifies the bid. • Evaluation based on price, vendor reputation, quality, compliance with district needs, and local business considerations.
