Notice of Intent to Sole Source: F-35 Engine Run Simulator

The U.S. Air Force intends to procure a high-fidelity F-35 engine run simulator from iPerformX, the sole manufacturer of the system. The simulator will be used as a critical training tool for personnel to master engine start sequences, respond to emergency scenarios, and diagnose system fault codes. The system must replicate the physical characteristics and tactile feedback of a genuine F-35 cockpit and be delivered in a compact form factor. The contract will include a 24-month software warranty and a 56-month hardware warranty. • The simulator must replicate the engine start sequence, emergency scenarios, and fault codes of a true F-35 aircraft. • The system must be a turnkey, fully integrated, and self-contained F-35 Engine Run Simulator. • The simulator must operate on standard power and cooling infrastructure. • The contract will include a 24-month software warranty and a 56-month hardware warranty.
