Budget estimate

$1,000,000 – $5,000,000

The estimated budget for this contract can be determined by calculating the total cost of the chemicals required for the 12-month period. Based on the estimated quantities and assuming an average price per pound or ton, the total cost can be estimated. For example, the city estimates that it will require 128,000 pounds of powdered activated carbon. If the average price per pound is $2, the total cost for this chemical would be $256,000. Similarly, the total cost for the other chemicals can be estimated. The total budget for the contract can be estimated to be in the range of $1 million to $5 million, depending on the prices quoted by the bidders.
