WSU Wenatchee Sunrise Orchard Solar Array

The Washington State University is seeking sealed bids for the construction of a solar array at the WSU TFREC's Sunrise Research Orchard. The project includes the excavation and placement of foundations for the racking system, construction of the racking system, and installation of solar panels. The array will be approximately 0.5 acres in size, and the purpose is to generate power from the panels and either use the electricity on site or back-feed it into the PUD power grid. The project also includes extending the electrical lines from the transformer up to the new location and installing all the equipment indicated. • The project has a bid estimate of $1,000,000.00 to $1,200,000.00. • There will be a single alternate to add another solar array area over an existing orchard on site. • The bid deadline is August 6, 2026, prior to 2:00 p.m., with a virtual bid opening at 2:30 p.m. • A non-mandatory virtual pre-bid meeting will be held on July 22, 2026, at 10:00 a.m., via Zoom. • A non-mandatory site walk will be held on July 27, 2026, at 11:30 a.m.
